I’m calling this my Butterfly Hybrid wrap. It’s made of all those single balls of Noro
Silk Garden, and other random pretty yarns I found in my stash. It started as a knitted project, and ended as a knit and crochet project. The pattern I started with is called the Feather and Fan Comfort Shawl,

I was totally inspired by this one by MagpieIma on Ravelry.
After three times losing count and frogging (rip it, rip it) back several inches, I decided to change the bottom to crochet, which is a bit more forgiving.
I’m happy that I switched to crochet, as it resulted in a a nice drape, and it’s plenty big enough to really wrap myself up in it this winter. I may even be able to use it instead of a coat.
When it’s all spread out, it looks like Butterfly wings. I’ll take a picture as I’m blocking it to show the whole thing.
And, yes, only a true knitting freak knits a heavy wrap with all wool yarn during one of the hottest summers in Maryland.
